A not for profit organisation reactivating bowls lawn spaces across London
We are a not-for-profit organisation established to help local councils re-activate abandoned or under used bowls lawn spaces across London. We are championing the sports of Croquet and Lawn Bowls, throwing out the old ideas associated with these sports, reviving them in a fun, exciting and inclusive way to bring new life to these spaces. Croquet and Lawn Bowls are two of the most inclusive sports in the world as they have a very low barrier to entry, quick and easy to learn, accessible to all ages and allow all genders to compete on an equal footing. Plus really great fun to play!
Our organisation has identified several abandoned bowls lawn spaces across London and are working with local councils to help re-establish sport in these locations, aiming to provide outreach to local community groups, schools and helping everyone get active.
A sport for all ages from 5 - 105! They are based on skill and strategy, not physical strength, so all genders can play together, equally
It takes just 2 minutes to learn and you will be playing to a good level within in an hour. It doesn't take long to progress to competitive level
If you can swing a mallet or roll a bowl, you can play, its as simple as that. Both sports allow people with a range of disabilities to play
Croquet & Bowls are proven to benefit both physical and mental health. It's a great way to keep active and get outside for everyone
Using inclusive sport as the catalyst for regeneration at abandoned bowls lawn sites, we want to create clubs that are community focused and help provide access to sport for all ages in a family friendly environment. Clubs with be financially viable and not reliant on council funding to operate, meaning the local community will benefit from low cost inclusive sport at no cost to the tax payer!
